DRAWING ROOM
A drawing room is a room in a house where visitors may be entertained & a historical term for what would now usually be called a living room. The name is derived from the 16th century terms withdrawing room, which remained in use through the 17th century.
In a large 16th to early 18th century English house, a withdrawing room was a room to which the owner of the house, his wife, or a distinguished guest who was occupying one of the main apartments in the house could “withdraw” for more privacy. It was often off the great chamber & usually led to a formal, or “state” bedroom. In modern houses, it may be used as a convenient name for a second or further reception room.
For me, a drawing room is this room where I withdraw, in order to think, create & draw.

ABOUT
My name is Theodoros Korkontzelos. I am a Senior Graphic Designer, with more than 23 years of experience, based in Athens / Greece.
I graduated from the Department of (BA) Graphic Design of Northumbria University / Newcastle. I have had various works from Advertising companies & Creative Agencies in Athens. I was heavily involved in the crossover of design from the creative idea to production. Team brainstorming & design of logotypes, print ads, corporate identity, packaging, brochures, social media needs, storyboards for TV commercials. Involved in color management & finished art. Prepared presentations for new clients.
I have experience in delivering creative, graphic concepts for a wide range of fields. Maxine is detail-oriented, deadline driven & have immense creative flair. I have a strong visual sense & as a true professional not only get excited about new ideas but also know how to run with them. Currently I work as a freelance graphic designer, with a variety of clients & on many diverse projects, in my Drawing Room.
I am available for design & art direction projects, collaborations & art commissions.
